Thursday Thirteen: Excuses, Excuses!

Everyone, once in a while, seems to post a Thursday Thirteen with excuses why they think their list this week is lame. Now it's my turn!

  1. My eyes hurt. Blame it on allergies or that my contacts are getting old. I could also blame it on the pink-eye infected eye juice, but since I don't use it, I can't.
  2. I am not feeling particularly creative this morning. Perhaps some of the other excuses could explain.
  3. My Mother has been visiting from out-of-town.
  4. We've been staying at hotels for the past three days.
  5. I haven't had access to a computer and the Internet for a few days.
  6. I just got back to work and I have a lot of things to catch up on.
  7. I have so many good topic ideas that I can't pick just one!
  8. I need a vacation from the vacation.
  9. I haven't slept very good lately.
  10. I'm supposed to be doing work right now!
  11. My kids have been spoiled so they've been very difficult to deal with.
  12. Did I mention my Mother is in town? This is her first visit to Creekistan. According to her, "It's not as bad as I thought it would be."
  13. Who can top getting to meet C-3PO? It's been a downer ever since last Wednesday.

Lots of great excuses! I could have used I CAN'T STOP SNEEZING this morning. And MY EYES ARE WATERING. I think it is allergies!

I thought allergy season was over... of course, my son is still sneezing and I was wondering what was up with him!

Mine is lame because I couldn't think of anything else!

Can I borrow a few of these? ;)

Have a great 4th!

Oh, I think you’re being too hard on yourself, Amy! That’s a perfectly good list, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

I know that feeling of needing “a vacation from the vacation” (or, as we say here, “a holiday to get over the holiday”!).

Have a good TT (and now get away from the computer and rest your eyes!).

Haha.. I know what it feels like to need a vacation from your vacation.

Okay, I shall deem myself a temporary blog advisor and say... I suggest you stick with #7. It gives you a certain aura of creative genius. Although the "my mother is in town" excuse should win over any and all audiences. [grin]

Thanks for visiting my T13. Have a terrific Thursday!

Oh, wait... Did you visit my T13? I have been clicking back and forth so often between my "Mr. Linky" visitors, and the T13 blogroll, that I'm not sure which one your name was in. I'm thinking it was the T13 blogroll now. So, um... stop on by if ya feel like it. :)

(I need more coffee.)

My mother totally stresses me out too. I usually take a day of vacation from my vacation to get things back to close to normal. Great TT.

I'm about to have tons of company and my son is getting married. Can I borrow this for next week (and maybe the week after that?)

sounds like you have your hands full! Happy TT

#12 reminds me of my mother. That is exactly the kind of compliment my mom would give. And then when I say sarcastically, "Thanks for the high praise," she is like, "What?"

why do mothers say stuff like that? like its helpful?? hotels, with little kids, can be exhausting.
